Alasdair has been the Editor of Scottish Business Insider since September 2000 and has spent the past 29 years working in journalism. He has introduced a number of major new initiatives including the Enterprise 250 survey of Scotland’s best performing SMEs and Rising Stars which profiles some of the most promising up and coming people in business. Prior to joining Insider, Alasdair has worked for some of the UK’s leading regional newspapers including the Manchester Evening News where he was Business Editor for seven years. In 1996 he won the BT National Business Journalist of the Year award as well as the North West Journalist of the Year title.
