John Campbell

 

 

John Campbell is an advocate, and has been a Queen's Counsel in Scotland since 1998, practising throughout the UK. He is the elected Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and is an accredited Mediator and Adjudicator. He likes to encourage people to help themselves. His practice is mainly in property and land law, and he specialises in town and country planning, and in different kinds of alternative dispute resolution work. Over 25 years or so, he has conducted many kinds of court cases, and planning and other types of public inquiry. In 2007 he and a colleague founded Oracle Chambers, Scotland’s first virtual Chambers, cutting the cost of high quality legal representation and improving access to counsel. Having carried out work for many firms of solicitors and other professionals, he is very pleased to be a judge in this competition.
