John Ferguson is Director of Development and Programmes for the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations. His involvement in the field of Human Services over the past 28 years includes roles within Regional Authorities and Charities managing Special Residential Educational Schools, Secure Facilities and Child Abuse Centres. His international activity has been extensive including activity in Russia, USA, Asia, China, Africa and Europe. He chairs and founded several charities in Scotland and represents Voluntary Sector interests on European Structural Fund Boards. He currently directs a wide range of action projects in several countries and specific responsibilities in Scotland including the promotion of Equalities and Human Rights, the Social Economy, Rural Affairs and Employment Training.
