ABOUT SIR GERALD GORDON

Sir Gordon served most of his career as a sheriff in Hamilton and in Glasgow for 21 years. He served as a temporary High Court judge between 1992 and 2004 and he has lectured in Criminology at Edinburgh University. He is editor of the Scottish Criminal Case Reports since 1981 and editor of Renton and Brown's Criminal Procedure. He has also served on the committee on Criminal Appeals and Miscarriages of Justice and is a board member of the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission.
